Testimonials

  • “We signed up for this workshop after hearing to our friend’s recommendation. At first we wanted to join other one-day or crash course but I am glad we went ahead with Kin. It’s an amazing childbirth workshop. Kin teaches us so much about childbirth, things that I didn’t even know. Very in depth. She taught us with a lot of patience . Plenty of fun and interactive activities were done. My favourite was the “pain coping method”. It’s a 4 week class, every Sunday. Really wonderful. After each session, there is time to integrate the information and discuss with my wife privately. Good pace. We made friends and still keep in touch with each other. Will recommend it to any couple who are going thru pregnancy.

  • “Thank you for the in-depth session. I am surprised to learn about both the risks and benefits the medical supports without seeing a doctor. I didn’t know there is so much to consider before coming to the workshop. Now I know how much my wife has to think about for birth. I am glad I can better support her now in her decisions and during birth when she needs me to advocate for her.

    — Nic Tan, Sep’ 23

  • “To be honest, I felt really alone during the pregnancy. My partner doesn’t seem to understand what I am talking about or always thinks I am over-worrying. After the workshop, I feel he is more involved now. He understands what I am going to go through and we started communicating much more. Before the workshop, we only talked about what pram, cot, breastpumps to buy. But now, we talked about deeper stuff, setting boundaries, what is truly important for both of us, what we don’t want. Highly recommended for first-time parents.

  • “My husband and I attended Kin's childbirth workshop and she paced the classes very well. Kin was professional and gave very useful information also backed by evidence. She also shared various websites for us to understand better. After going through the topics, she occasionally quizzed us to ensure that we don't have any doubts and she was always approachable for any questions.

My greatest takeaway for the workshop was that I could truly own my childbirth experience. We learnt about the different stages of labour and pain-coping techniques which was very helpful when we went into the delivery ward. Its like I knew what I had to expect as we have rehearsed it while role playing and visualising.

    — Esther K, April’23

  • “After 4 weeks, I could visibly see my wife is less anxious than before. Kin is very patient and professional. She answers our questions and facilitates the session very well. I enjoy coming to the workshop with my wife. Kin will recap what we have learnt last week to help us get ready for the day. Highly recommended for those who are looking for childbirth workshop.”

  • “We signed up for the 4-week Childbirth Workshop. The classes were both experiential and informative. My favourite part of the workshop was using Ice to practice “pain coping” methods. There were activities during every session and it helped us learn more about ourselves, pregnancy and birthing. It was truly an eye opener ☺️ There were only 5 couples, we all became friends after the workshop too. I’m glad I was able to go through this class before birthing and will highly recommend this to other couple.

  • “For my husband, he also had a better understanding on how he could further support me during the labour and the delivery, without this class, we would not have been so prepared! We had also gone for other antenatal class but this is a very different approach. This helps us to prepare our hearts so much to welcome our baby.

Post 2 months after delivery, Kin also continued checking in with us and kept connected. She gives us tips on what to take note of as first time parents! I would really recommend Kin and any of her classes, and workshop to anyone who wants to be empowered in their childbirth preparation.

    — Esther K, Apr’23

  • “I attended Kin’s workshop on Fourth Trimester Planning. There were plenty of activities that helped my partner and I plan out the fourth trimester, in terms of logistics, baby care etc. Even though we have a confinement nanny, I am so glad to have joined this session to have a glimpse into how it is like after baby is born. Thanks to the workshop, my partner and I had some deep conversations (especially on boundaries and emergencies) which we usually avoid at home. Highly recommended to any one looking for childbirth class.
